Why We Built This Site
Knox County, Kentucky record access can be confusing because court files, county-clerk records, jail records, driver records, and state offender records are held by different offices. This private reference site organizes those paths around the Knox County Circuit Court Clerk, Knox County Clerk, Kentucky Court of Justice, Knox County Detention Center, and related state systems.
What You Will Find Here
Knox County Court Records focuses on practical record access. It explains how to search Knox County court records, court dockets, criminal case files, arrest-related court charges, traffic court records, inmate records, warrant information, marriage and divorce records, probate matters in District Court, and the Circuit Court page for the local Kentucky trial-court structure.
The site also separates the offices that are often confused. The Knox County Circuit Court Clerk handles Circuit and District Court case files at 401 Court Square in Barbourville. The Knox County Clerk handles marriage licenses, recorded instruments, eCCLIX land records, county clerk forms, and branch services in Barbourville and Corbin.
What We Cannot Do
This is not a government office and does not issue certified copies, file court papers, clear warrants, provide legal advice, change records, or retrieve sealed files. Certified court copies come from the Knox County Circuit Court Clerk. Marriage-license and recorded-instrument copies come from the Knox County Clerk when those records are in that office's custody.
Search Partners
Some search boxes or sponsored results may be provided by third-party search partners. Those tools are not the Kentucky Court of Justice, the Knox County Circuit Court Clerk, the Knox County Clerk, the Sheriff's Office, the Detention Center, KYTC, or Kentucky State Police. Always verify official records with the office or agency that created or maintains the record.
